Costs for patients from abroad

For private patients, services are billed in accordance with legal requirements using the German fee schedule for physicians’ billing (GOÄ). The invoicing follows what is known as the ‘individual service principle’. Usually, what is known as a threshold value is used for private insurance patients in order to ensure that each respective partial service is appropriately reimbursed. The threshold value is 2.3 for general medical services and 1.8 for laboratory services. The use of a factor of less than 1.0 is not permitted. This is a rather complicated billing system. The bottom line is: The bill contains every single medical- technical action performed. Flat-rate fees are illegal and giving services away free of charge is also prohibited.

This means, that we cannot state fixed prices for our treatments. However the below given prices are good estimates which will not be exceeded. If in a special case – mostly due to higher costs of medication – the given estimates are to be exceeded, you will be duly notified.

But on the whole you can rely on the given estimates.

Treatment can be performed regardless of marital status and age.

Costs

Of course your first visit will be free of charge. Only once further examination/-testing is performed costs will be charged.

• Insemination cycle approx. 400 – 600, € plus the cost of medications (50 – 500 €)
• IVF (conventional IVF) approx. 2.000 – 3.000 € plus the cost of medications (1.000 – 2.500 €)
• MINI-IVF™ approx. 1.000 – 2,000.00 € plus the cost of medications (around 300 €), plus cryopreservation, if required
• ICSI (conventional ICSI) approx. 2.500 – 3.500 € (based on ICSI for 5 egg cells) plus the cost of medications (1.000 – 2.500 €), plus cryopreservation, if required
• MINI-ICSI approx. 1.500 – 2.500 € plus the cost of medications (around 300 €), plus cryopreservation, if required
• HALO sperm test (180 €)
• Cryopreservation of fertilised egg cells (approx. 400 €)+19% VAT
• Rent for a storage period of 6 months (125 €)+ 19% VAT
• Cryo cycles in order to transfer previously frozen fertilised egg cells- so called frozen embryo cycles- (approx. 450 – 600 €), plus medication costs of approx. 30 – 500 €.
• Assisted hatching (laser assisted embryo hatching): approx. 170 €
• Polar body diagnostics: between 900  and 1600 €.
• Hormonal examinations or antibody analysis are subject to seperate billing
• Vaginal ultrasound ca. 50 €
• Sperm testing ca. 140 €
• Treatment with donor semen (For costs, see our partner the Berlin Sperm Bank (Berliner Samenbank)

Payment of 50 % of estimated final payment is due on first visit during the actual treatment cycle. 50 % on day of insemination or embryo transfer. Payment is possible by EC-/Maestro card and most credit cards.
