Dr. med. D. J. Peet
After graduating in Human Medicine from the Humboldt University in Berlin (Thesis: Experimental Work on Superovulation in Laboratory Animals), Dr. Peet commenced specialist medical training at the Berlin-Köpenick Hospital.
In 1985, he completed his doctoral thesis “Animal Studies on In-vitro Fertilisation”, the results of which contributed significantly to the introduction of IVF at the University Hospital in Berlin in the mid-1980s.
Dr. Peet completed his time as a Senior House Officer at the Humboldt Hospital in Berlin, where he was already the head of a sterility consulting clinic. After his specialist examination in 1993, Dr. Peet established his own practice, and by 1997 he had opened the first IVF practice outside the universities in Berlin.
In 2000, Drs. Peet and Sydow founded the PraxisKlinik für Fertilität (Practice Clinic for Fertility) – Am Gendarmenmarkt –
After numerous visits abroad and, most recently, the opportunity to exchange specialist experience during time spent at the New Hope Fertility Center in New York with Dr. John Zhang, one of the worldwide pioneers of Mini-IVF and NC-IVF, it was Dr. Peet‘s desire to provide a highly individualised and truly patient-oriented approach to fertility therapy.
To enable him to realise his novel, patient friendly treatment concept, Dr. Peet together with Dr. Halis founded the PRAXIS für FERTILITÄT – Kinderwunsch- und EndometrioseZentrum Berlin (PRACTICE for FERTILITY – Fertility and Endometriosis Centre in Berlin) at the start of 2010.
